Jackalope
The Jackalope is a mythical creature with features that of both a jackrabbit and a deer.
The Jackalope is a North American mythical creature thought to be born of an experiment in taxidermy in the early 1900s performed by Douglas Herrick. The legend of such a creature evolved over time, giving it the reputation of being able to imitate human voices. It is also said to only breed during lightning storms, complimenting its alleged hostile nature. This illustration captures the Jackalope in a decaying yet sturdy form with illustrated type to compliment its obscure and fantastical lore.
